A Guide for Voters and Candidates, published by the Maine Children’s Alliance is now available.
This publication provides data and policy information on a broad range of topics affecting children in Maine.
We hope you are able to familiarize yourself with these issues, and that, by becoming more informed, you are even more supportive of children’s issues in the future. In addition to data snap shots of childhood well-being in Maine, you will find more detailed policy briefs on early childhood, health care, and childhood poverty, including federal anti-poverty efforts.
This guide is being shared with our members, supporters, the media, and the general public. Please feel free to cite and share this guide in your travels this fall and beyond.
The Maine Children’s Alliance is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for sound public policies that improve the well-being of children, youth, and families in Maine. While the Maine Children’s Alliance does not endorse candidates or engage in political action, we do try to educate our members, the public, and policy makers about the tremendous importance of future voters, our children.
